Invisalign invisible aligners are a very popular choice for adults who want to straighten their teeth with maximum discretion. These aligners are clear trays that are bespoke to fit your teeth for maximum comfort and optimum results. Unlike braces, they are completely removable, meaning they won't cause you any problems when eating or drinking, or with brushing and flossing your teeth.
These aligners are particularly suitable for patients who are concerned about having even clear brackets and wires on their teeth. Treatment time is a little longer than other alternatives such as Six Month Smiles, but shorter than most traditional orthodontic treatments, with average treatment times for Invisalign patients being between nine and fifteen months.
They are also considered more comfortable than standard braces because there is no metal in contact with your mouth, which can sometimes cause mouth abrasions.
Invisalign invisible aligners may be suitable for you if:
- Your teeth are crooked or protruding (stick out)
- You want a highly discreet treatment system nobody will notice
- You want to eat and drink what you like during treatment
- You are aged 18 or over
Treatment with Invisalign works by using a series of aligners to gently move your teeth into their new position. On average you will change your aligner every two weeks during your course of treatment.
Your dentist will individually tailor your aligners to your mouth for the best results possible, along with the greatest comfort while wearing them. Because they fit snuggly over the teeth and are practically invisible, nobody will know you are having orthodontic treatment unless you choose to tell them.
You will need to visit the practice, on average, every six weeks so that we can check your treatment is progressing as planned.
